Because we are dealing with living products, our return policy is designed to be fair to both you and the unique nature of the plants we ship.

Live Plants: No Returns, But We Guarantee Quality
Due to the perishable and living nature of our roses and perennials, we cannot accept returns on live plants. Once a plant has left our greenhouse, we cannot take it back for resale. However, this does not mean you are without recourse.
If your plant arrives damaged, diseased, or in poor health due to transit or our own error, we are here to make it right. Your satisfaction is our top priority. Instead of a return, we offer replacements, store credits, or refunds based on the specific situation.
Our 1-Year Warranty on Roses
We stand behind every own-root rose we sell. Petal Rave offers a one-year warranty on all rose plants from the date of shipment. This warranty covers the plant’s health and vigor, provided it has been planted and cared for according to our guidelines.
If your rose fails to leaf out, shows signs of virus, or dies within one year of receiving it, please contact us. We will work with you to determine the cause. If the failure is due to a problem with the plant itself (not improper care, extreme weather, or neglect), we will send you a replacement of the same variety when available, or issue a store credit.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by pests, diseases, or animals after planting.
- Plants that have been over-watered, under-watered, or improperly fertilized.
- Damage from extreme weather events (flood, drought, frost heave, or winter kill beyond the plant’s hardiness zone).
- Normal die-back or seasonal dormancy.
Reporting Damage or Issues
Because we cannot accept live plant returns, it is critical that you inspect your order immediately upon arrival.
Dead on Arrival (DOA) or Transit Damage: If your plant arrives with broken canes, crushed packaging, or appears dead, you must contact us within 3 business days of delivery. Please provide clear photos of the plant, the pot, and the shipping box. This helps us file claims with our carriers and improve our packing methods. We will arrange for a one-time replacement or refund at our discretion.
Quality Concerns After Planting: If your plant shows signs of decline or fails to thrive within the first 30 days, please reach out with photos and a description of your planting conditions. We will assess the situation and may offer growing advice, a partial credit, or a replacement based on our evaluation.
Non-Plant Merchandise Returns
For non-plant items such as tools, books, fertilizers, pots, and garden decor, we accept returns within 30 days of delivery.
Eligibility for Non-Plant Returns:
- Items must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging.
- Items must be in resalable condition.
- Custom-engraved plant tags, personalized stakes, or special order items cannot be returned.
Process for Non-Plant Returns:
- Contact our Customer Care team via the contact form on our website to request a return authorization.
- Ship the item back to the address provided by our team.
- You are responsible for all return shipping costs.
- Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process a refund to your original payment method within 7-10 business days.
Refunds and Credits
- Refunds for live plants are only issued in cases of DOA or verified plant defect. Refunds will be for the full purchase price of the plant (excluding any original shipping charges).
- Store credits may be offered as an alternative to a refund and are valid for one year from the date of issue.
- Refunds for merchandise will be for the product price only. Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Cancellations
You may cancel an order for a full refund if it has not yet entered processing. Once your order is in the “preparing for shipment” stage, cancellations may not be possible. Please review our Order Changes & Cancellations section for more details.
