Ordering & Account Questions

Do I need an account to place an order?
No, you can check out as a guest. However, creating an account on petalrave.com allows you to save your shipping information, track orders, view your purchase history, and manage your preferences for future visits.

Can I change or cancel my order after it has been placed?
We process orders quickly to ensure timely delivery. If you need to make a change, please contact us as soon as possible. Once your order has entered the preparation or shipping phase, we may not be able to modify or cancel it. Custom items, such as engraved plant tags, cannot be changed after placement.

How do I know if a rose is suitable for my climate?
We provide hardiness zone information for every rose variety on its product page. You can also use our Hardiness Zone Finder on petalrave.com by entering your ZIP code. Planting a rose suited to your zone is the best way to ensure success.

Plant & Growing Questions

What does “own-root” mean, and why does it matter?
An own-root rose is grown from a cutting of the original plant, not grafted onto a different rootstock. At Petal Rave, all our roses are own-root. This means they are more cold-hardy, live longer, and will not produce unwanted suckers. If winter kills the top growth, the rose will regrow true to variety from the roots.

When is the best time to plant my rose?
The ideal planting window depends on your hardiness zone. In general, plant in spring after the last frost or in late summer/early fall, at least 6 weeks before your first hard frost. Avoid planting during extreme heat or when the ground is frozen. Your rose will arrive with detailed planting instructions.

My rose arrived with few leaves or yellowing foliage. Is that normal?
Yes, this is completely normal. To protect plants during transit, we may remove some foliage. Your rose is healthy and dormant or semi-dormant. Once planted and watered, new growth will emerge within 2-3 weeks during the active growing season.

How do I plant my rose?
We provide a planting guide with every order. In general, choose a location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight, dig a hole twice as wide as the pot, and plant at the same depth as it was in the container. Water deeply after planting and apply a layer of mulch.

Do you offer gardening advice after purchase?
Absolutely. We are passionate about your success. You can reach our Customer Care team through the chat feature on petalrave.com for personalized advice on pruning, feeding, winter protection, or troubleshooting.

Shipping & Delivery Questions

When will my order ship?
We ship live plants based on optimal planting time for your region. When you place your order, you will be able to select a preferred delivery window. We hold your plants in our greenhouse and ship them at the right time for your climate.

Can I track my package?
Yes. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number. You can also track your order by logging into your account on petalrave.com.

What happens if my package is delayed?
We partner with major carriers to provide reliable service. However, weather events or other unforeseen circumstances can cause delays. While we cannot guarantee specific delivery dates, we monitor shipments closely. If your order is significantly delayed, please contact us so we can assist.

Do you ship to Canada or internationally?
Yes, we ship to Canada. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout. We do not currently ship to all international locations. Please check our website for the most current list of eligible destinations.

Guarantee & Warranty Questions

What is your guarantee on live plants?
We stand behind every rose we sell. Petal Rave offers a one-year warranty on all rose plants from the ship date. If your rose fails to thrive due to a plant issue (not improper care or extreme weather), we will work with you to provide a replacement or store credit.

What should I do if my plant arrives damaged?
Please contact us within 3 business days of delivery. Provide clear photos of the plant, the pot, and the shipping box. We will evaluate the situation and, if the damage occurred during transit, arrange for a one-time replacement or refund.

Returns & Refunds

Can I return a live plant?
Due to the perishable nature of live plants, we cannot accept returns. However, if your plant arrives in poor condition, please refer to our warranty and damage reporting process above.

How do I return non-plant merchandise?
Non-plant items such as tools or decor may be returned within 30 days if unopened and in new condition. Please contact our Customer Care team for a return authorization. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
